Answer: Not where I live, you don't. But I don't know where Ab. is, so I cannot speak for the laws, there. Contact the local government office that handles business licenses. They will tell you if you need a certificate.

Answer: It will be difficult for you to get a job when you are pregnant. It is better that you wait till you are fit for work after delivery.
Question: After the debacle in Delhi recently, are the engineers in India capable of building anything that would last f? Those 2 cranes that snapped like twigs were not meant to be used to lift such weights. Shows that the crane operators were not trained properly and not educated regarding it's capacity and at what height.

Answer: The answer is YES, of course.
Let this so-called debacle (the term that you used) be a learning process for all involved. Most of the problems/issues have been pinpointed so all these could then be avoided in future projects.
Question: How does operator overloading work in C++? Agreed they are used so that one can use user defined types as built in types, i did some scouring on the web but don' t exactly understand how they work.Can somebody please explain with some simple programs their proper syntax as i am a novice for C++ .
Answer: In C++ operators really act like functions behind the scenes. For example, when you say
a = b + c
the compiler will turn that into something like
add(a, b, c)
which isn't the syntax we're all used to for addition so C++ allows you something more familiar like a = b + c.
Consider the example of overloading the equality operator (==) for a class called SomeClass. The method signature looks like this:
bool operator==(const SomeClass& other);
Now offhand that looks a little odd, but if you replace the text "operator==" with something less weird looking like the word "Equals" you get
bool Equals(const SomeClass& other);
Now it looks more like a normal member function. Note that it takes a reference to another SomeClass object as an argument and returns a boolean based on whether the objects are equal to each other. You would call such a funciton like this:
SomeClass sc1;
SomeClass sc2;
if(sc1.Equals(sc2))
//do something
The Equals method can do whatever you want. You define what it means for two objects of the SomeClass class to be equal to each other. Assuming there are two int member fields in the class called field1 and field2, a reasonable implementation of the Equals method would be something like this:

if(this->field1 == other.field1 && this->field2 == other.field2)
return true;
else
return false;
}
As you can see it tests to see if the member fields are equal to each other and returns true if they are.
Now the only different between this Equals method and overloading the == operator method is 1) the name of the method and 2) how you are allowed to call it. If we change the name of the method from "Equals" to "operator==" we get

Nothing has changed but the name of the method. The body is identical.
The more interesting aspect is how you are allowed to call the method. When it is named "Equals" I have to call it like this:
sc1.Equals(sc2)
which isn't terrible but not great. However, when I name the method "operator==", I can call it like this
sc1 == sc2
Basically, the compiler is letting you use a special syntax to call the method when you give the method a special name. It might be worth noting that you can also use the syntax
sc1.operator==(sc2)
but that's even weirder than Equals and I don't recommend you do that.
Question: how to write a letter to the billboard operator who has not pay rent for more than a year? I am the landowner of a building. I have been renting the space at the rooftop to a billboard operator. Our lease has expire and it's now on month to month basis. The operator has not been paying rent for the past 4 months despite giving notice. I want to write them a 'strong letter' that if this is still going on, they will have to remove the billboard.

You are the landowner of a building and you can't get this sorted.
If he is dicking you around, take none of it. State your position, and tell them what steps you are going to take, to recover any costs. Don't forget to add your costs as well,in addition to what they owe you.

Question: My Local Cable Operator Sells Recievers to vview his digital TV? I Have a Bravia , which has one built in? Can? I use it? The Digital Cable is NOT encrypted
Answer: If your TV has a QAM tuner (it probably does--check the specs), you will be able to receive any unencrypted digital channels provided with a Basic Cable subscription. No separate receiver is required.
Question: What is the correct term, "Operating Manual", "Operator's Manual", etc....? I built a small industrial/diagnostic machine that I intend to market. I am drafting a user manual for it and wonder what the best/most professional/correct term would be to use on the title page for the machine instructions. There doesn't seem to be much of a standard since I see all different terms used, so maybe this is more of a poll than a question. Maybe even something other than those mentioned. Ideas?
Answer: Choose between User's Manual or Instruction Manual.
Question: Can custodians talk to the teacher? at school? Can I show my art work to the students and give them art work that they want? Like one student wants a drawing of Tom and Jerry.The building operator said no.
Answer: I will share my heart.
My personal experience as a one time custodian cleaned toilets for 7 years at a hospital. I used to work with doctors and nurses and allot of them where snobs. They would report you in a heart beat if something was not right.
I also worked crap jobs are about 14 years total.
I finally got vindicated and now have a cushy job with the schools.
Depends on the teachers.
I am now a paraprofessional and my teacher treats me with respect. She is younger then me.
Not all of them are snobs.
I am just as able to get my masters degree as they are if I wanted to .
I probably have accomplished more then some of them even now.
Becoming debt free before 40 and overcoming many things.
I also acknowledge God is the one that helped me get through it all.He is the one that has blessed me.
I Also have a side business as a designer and my garments have been on a T.V commercial.. I work at the schools to supplement my income. Yes My teacher is aware fo this.
Never let go of your dream to be an artist because it can happen(no matter how old you are) . Most of all dont let other people keep you down they may also be jealuse becuase they see potential in you and want to keep you down.

Question: What are good college courses to take if I want to be a Navy Seal? I am 16 and a junior in high school. I am considering joining the Navy, with the hope that I could one day become a Seal Operator. I know that the training is impossibly hard, physically and mentally. I was wondering what high school and college courses I could take that would be helpful in building a good foundation.
Answer: Computer programming would be good as well as knowing electronics. SEALS today need to be very savvy on technology.

Answer: Canada I suppose coz it has a higher annual national income, this means more construction, jobs and ... has more population and higher rate of growth.
Question: Sony Vaio Laptop from US- Using Verizon mobile broadband built-in in Europe with my mobile operator's SIM card? I am considering to buy the new z series of Sony Vaio's (VPCZ11FHX/XQ) from the US and use it in Europe. I am wondering how i can use the 3g bult-in card of the US Vaio models that comes with built-n Verizon 3g device. Is it possible to change the SIM card with my operator's and ue it wth my own plan with my operator? I guess the european sony vaio models has "everywair" thing, which makes them available to interchange the SIM card of your own moble operator. Is there any dfferenece between these two?
Anybody has any experience with US vaio models and using 3G?
Answer: You can't. Verizon used CDMA which doesn't work in Europe, only in the United States. There is no SIM card. You are going to need a laptop with an AT&T modem built into it. Or get a USB broadband modem from either AT&T or T-mobile. They use the same technology the rest of the world uses. A verizon or Sprint broadband modem will not work in Europe.
Question: My daughter was burned by a carnival ride operator. Should we press this issue or forget about it? My daughter is 3 and was being taken to a carnival ride by her father, who was holding her hand. As they walked past the ride operator (who had his back to them), he lowered his hand with a cigarette in it and burned my little girl on her arm. He brushed her arm a bit to wipe off the black ash and tossed his cigarette to the ground. He did apologize, but a small burn mark appeared, the size of the end of a cigarette. It was an accident, but he wasn't supposed to be smoking and now she has this burn blister that will probably leave a small scar on her lower upper arm. We went to the General Manager where he told us that ride operators are told not to smoke and that he would be dismissed. We gave our info to the police as well as the manager. He refunded her ride tickets and gave her and my other child a free stuffed toy. We then went to the first aide building to have something put on it, which they did. We happened to walk back through a couple of hours later and are pretty sure we saw the same ride operator working a different ride for older kids. Should we push this issue any further by speaking to a lawyer or drop it?
We were very upset. After he apologized, he just wasn't interested in saying anything else and pretty much shrugging his shoulders. I didn't cause a scene, but since he seemed like it was no big deal, we decided to speak to the manager. We won't be going back and after this happened, we did not ride anything else and stayed away from the midway. The burn area is quite sensitive and she's always trying to rub it, scratch it, and complains that it 'stings'. We were instructed to watch it for infection and are treating it as per Dr's orders. We don't normally cause a stir of any kind, but when it involves my children getting hurt, it does upset me a lot. The more people we talk to, the more feel we should check more into options, but it's just not us. However, again, when it comes to our children, it does stir up different emotions and I'm still very mad about it, especially every time I have to treat the burn.
I wanted to add a few things. First of all, suing them is not the issue. It's funny how everyone assumes thats what we were thinking when it was everyone else jumping to that. I realize I may not have clarified our intentions exactly, but by "pressing the issue", I meant to make sure this guy was dismissed.
And no, it wouldn't matter who burned my child, whether it be a patron, a carnival employee, or the fair chairman.... I would have still been upset. The employee was instructed before the fair started to NOT smoke.
Accidents do happen, but now my little girl has big burn mark on her arm that WILL scar. Accidents happen all the time with serious consequences.
And before anyone jumps to a possible conclusion, I mentioned contacting a lawyer for options in getting him dismissed, not to pursue money. We took the refund and the free toys.
As for the "addiction", I know people with addictions (smoking and/or alcohol) and that is absolutely no excuse for their behavior.

Question: What makes progressive liberals think that I like spending more money into a big cesspool? Why do they sell, push all these fickin programs?? Fill out a runoff permit and a fire permit and a emmissions permit and a building permit and grading permit and an operators permit. Hoping all the manure will suddenly smell like roses. These permits dont do a dam thing.
Answer: You think that I think you like it? Of course you don't like paying taxes. They are, however, necessary for society to function.
Get over yourself.
Question: Digital cable tv using a distribution hub? My company has a distribution hub for our cable tv services throughout the building. It's using analog because it's old. I hear the cable industry is moving towards requiring a conversion to digital. Initially everyone had to switch to digital by the end of this yr but that's changed to sometime next year, summer 2008? Our cable provider still provides analog service to those whose infrastructure requires it. Can anyone elaborate more on the 2008 deadline and what our cable operator should be expected to cover for us? I also heard that the digital distribution equipment isn't even available yet?! If you know where i can read up more about this, that's also appreciated!
Answer: The February 2009 deadline for conversion to digital has nothing to do with cable. It covers over-the-air broadcasting only. I think the best resource for your issue would be your own cable provider.
Question: Where to complain about this matter? I notice someone has given approval for a furniture showroom operator to build a showroom along Jalan Duta which is just along the road corridor? I believe the showroom operator has built it illegally without approval from the relevant authorities. To whom shall I complain about this matter so the relevant authorities can investigate whether there is wrong doing done? I think some politician is behind this venture.
Answer: If yr complain is no respond just call TV 3 or email then they will high light in the Berita Perdana to make Menteri Wilayah and Datu Bandar kalaang kabut sikit.
Question: I am having trouble writing this matlab function? Write a function AND() that implements logical conjunction without using the built in operator &. Your function takes two arguments. it returns nonzero if both arguments are nonzero and 0 if either argument is 0. for example: AND(0,0) returns 0, AND(1,0) returns 0, AND(0,5) returns 0, and AND(-1,1) returns 1.
I have no clue how to write this function without using the built in operator &.

Answer: So you want it to return 1 if both arguments are nonzero and 0 otherwise.
It's quite simple if you use if statements.

Question: Where in the UK can I buy the soft plastic covers for electrical switches? We build our own machines at my workplace and I wanted to cover switches that have to be held down during operation with soft plastic for safety reasons e.g. if the operator has wet or messy hands. I don't seem to be able to find them for sale or indeed be able to find out what they're called!!
Answer: I didn't know what you were talking about at first!! but I now think you mean neoprene dust/splash covers for INDUSTRIAL switches and push buttons???? If so, you will have to find who the manufacturer is, there are many.

Question: Did anyone else think that Iron man 2 was very close to robocop 2? In terms of story, to me anyway, they seemed very similar. You've got the machine with the flawed operator who the big company is trying to build a replacement for. There is a dramatic scene where they show the replacements fail and the operator's inside die. And at the end, there is a dramatic fight between the old machine and the replacement machine.
I'm not saying they were exact and personally I enjoyed both films for their entertainment value and put Iron Man as one of my favorite comic book films, but I couldn't help but notice this similarity. Did anyone else notice it?
Answer: I did notice the similarity. However i would say that Ironman 2 was better in terms of entertainment. also robert downey jr is awesome!

Question: If I work at a school as a custodian and on a 15 min. brake I? show my art to kids that are at the school. One kid said he wanted me to draw a picture of Tom and Jerry. The lead said not to draw the picture. He (Lead custodian) socialize with the teachers and Principal , He is a building operator. I am a custodian and he tells me not to talk to the teachers or kids (students). I talk on my breaks (two 15 min. breaks.) He look like he is making his social value higher then mine. I like to talk to people and draw and paint for kids. The art teacher wants me to do a Miro' for the school. Do I have rights to talk to teachers on breaks and show my art work to kids and give them art picture of their favorit cartoon character. The lead custodian must be socialist/ Communist and not american. Because this is America. I am 26. I look 18-20 years old. Do I have rights when working at a school?

Find out why he's worried about it and then show him how you are going to make sure you don't break any rules.

Answer: Great picture! Would love to visit Kazakhstan one day! As for the nomadic way of life...it is the best way of life! I have lived it myself for a few years now and enjoyed every moment of it! The best thing is when you have nothing it makes you feel so free! Throughout history, there have always been 2 kinds of people, the one that settled down and the nomads. I think our world owes a lot more to the nomads, think about all the traders on the silk road, the captains who discovered the world etc.
Question: Sprint's stock is getting hammered. What are the odds Sprint will go bankrupt? Sprint is one of the 4 nationwide wireless operators. They also own highly valuable 2.5G spectrum which they are building out with Wi-MAX technology. However, they did a poor job of integrating NEXTEL and have a reputation for poor customer service, alienating the loyal NEXTEL base. Their stock is at a multi-year low as a result. The new CEO, Dan Hesse, is a turnaround guy and has already cut jobs. If he can't turn the ship around what is the likelihood they'll be forced into bankruptcy?
Answer: 0% chance.
The spectrum that Sprint owns is far too valuable to allow a bankruptcy. (In other words, the assets are far greater than their debts, and they can more than payoff all their debt and leave shareholder equity by merely selling off bandwidth).
Their is a much greater chance they would be purchased, than go ch 7.

Question: Do all casinos serve free drinks to gamblers? Ohio wants to build casinos but legislators do not want to casino operators to have 24 hour liquor licenses or offer complimentary drinks. I have only been to casinos in LA, MS, and NV and they have all served free drinks to gamblers. Do Canadian and other US casinos comp drinks?
Answer: Most casinos do (especially in Vegas), but some don't as a house rule and some don't because of local laws.
It can even vary based on the location within the casino. I've been to a casino that had free drinks in the main casino, but you had to pay for drinks in the poker room.
Question: Are there overpayed people in the corporate office world.? I ask because sometimes I visit my step dads job, he works as an elevator operator/maintenance. I see these men and women who make 4 or 5 times what he makes a week and I sometimes I want to ask them what do you do up in that office that makes you earn more in a week than my step dad in a month. I know they would be no building to maintain without their intelligence but are they still over payed.
Answer: IT ALL DEPENDS-----IF ANYONE COULD DO THERE JOB JUST AS GOOD OR BETTER THAN THEM-------THEN YES THEY ARE OVERPAID , BUT , IF THEY ARE THE BEST THE COMPANY CAN GET AND THEY ARE ABLE TO MAKE A BIGGER PROFIT THAN ANYONE ELSE --------NO --THEY ARE WORTH WHAT THEY ARE PAID -------AND MANY ARE UNDERPAID .
Question: What do you think is the best career to choose to study for future uses of computers replacing jobs? Many cars are being built with more and more computer type parts. Everything is starting to be ran by a computer. Operators are now replaced with auto computers who understand what you say and how to direct your call. Those are just jobs lost. They've been in our lives for years and are now taking more and more jobs. What field can not be replaced by a computer? Lawyer, doctor, mother, or can even those functions be replaced with a bit more technology?
Answer: Be a SURROGATE MOTHER.
It cannot be replaced by a computer within the foreseeable future.
Question: In the tradedy of the twin towers why was the operators on the phone telling? the people in the building to stay where they was and not to do anything they can to escape. And did anyone linked suspect that the whole building would collapse.
Answer: Sweetheart they didn't know, and probably were in shock too.

Question: How do you hold a state in a fully CMOS logic circuit? I can use the P and N MOSFET transistors to create boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT and so on..) They are basically signal analyzers: if the input signal is taken away, the circuit stop working.
How do I design a circuit that, given an input starts producing an output -and keeps it even if the input is taken away-? Can i build one just by using resistors, capacitors and MOS transistors?
Answer: Yes, it's called a flip-flop.
The simplest is two transistors cross-coupled with resistors.
If you have NAND gates, just feed the output of the first to one of the inputs of the second, and the output of the second to one of the inputs of the first. The remaining inputs are used to set or reset the FF.

Answer: Go to HP, Dell, Toshiba, Alienware, etc and than go to custom laptops... or pick one out and it will say custom laptops.
