Question: Whats the difference between Mechanical Engineer and Electronics Engineer? What do they do in there occupation?
Whats the Difference?
Answer: mecanical engg is hub of all engg ....every item is mechanical ....now to produce ...save ...repair ...manufacture ....is mecanical .....weather it is a spoon or spacecraft ...or trains ships automobile ....bomb....anything ....computer ....but ....the electrical is basis of electronics........electrical computers were placed in big hall ...now u can carry that much ...in hands ....laptop.......hence electronics engineer ....has to design , maintain ,,..help in manufacture ...[machineries will be operated by mecanical ..]....to produce computers ....but circuit s of computers ....will be designed by computer engineer ....advanced from of electronics ........
Question: Is it possible to become a Electronics Engineer and a well Web Developer? I mean what would i have to do, take some extra classes and do a minor major stuff like that. Please explain.
"I am surprised people make a living doing just that." ---Yes people Earn money, and almost same as Electronic Engineer Get Over it. Being a Web Developer has Its Own Benefits. You can work from anywhere.
Answer: I am an electronics engineering and compared to that, web development is a trifle. I do it now and then. Its just another minor skill among many for an electronics engineer.
I develop DSPs and PWM amplifiers for the professional audio industry in Southern California. Updating a web site with what I do is just a minor part of doing documentation. I am surprised people make a living doing just that.
If you become an electronics engineer, you will have far more interesting stuff to do and the amount of web work you will have to do will feel like poor use of your time.
As for web development it was self taught. I have to pick up new skills every couple weeks and web development was just another self taught thing. Like CAD Printer Circuit Board design work was for me.
Question: Salary for an electronics engineer with 3 and a half years to 4 years experience, ? What kind of salary can I ask if I have an experience in electronics engineering for 4 years?
A recruiter called me today and asked my salary requirements and I told him anywhere from 60-70K.
I think that was too low, Was it?
Answer: use perhaps the Riemann's dzeta function
Question: what is common between communication and electronics engineer? what both study ? which is better in career ? how to choose between them ?
Answer: Well I'll just start and say an Electrical Engineer can fill both of these roles and be either a communications or electronics engineer. As you probably know a communications engineer plans and develops communication systems, both analog and digital. An electronics engineer plans and develops electronics systems, both analog and digital. I would say all electrical communication systems involve electronic components such as frequency shifters, modulators, mixers, etc. As far as if you're considering a degree and choosing between the two, electronics will offer more options, but there will be a lot of common courses in both curricula. I couldn't say if one career is really "better" than the other. That depends on how well you end up liking the subject matter. Most work that both engineers do will be at a computer desiging systems. A communication engineer will be developing new systems, while an electronics engineer will be developing new transistors and such.
Question: how much is the salary of an electronics engineer? how much is the salary of an electronics engineer?
Answer: If you want to earn the maximum amount of money working in the electronics industry then be an executive manager, working in the components sector, based in London.
According to the 2007 salary survey, conducted by Electronics Weekly and sponsored by recruitment consultant John Prodger Recruitment, this combination should result in the highest salary possibility.
The average salary for executive management comes in at £57,280. For the components sector the average wage is £46,920 and for London it comes in at £42,920.
Conversely, the lowest wages are in the middle of the country with Wales, the Midlands, Yorkshire and Northern England sitting around the £35,000 average mark.
Design fares worst in the market sectors with an average of £35,640, while the worst paid profession is purchasing, which pulls in an average of £27,970.
But overall it is looking good to be in the technology sector.
According to the latest figures from the UK’s Office for National Statistics the occupations with the highest earnings in the UK in 2006 were ‘health professionals’ with a median pay for full-time employees of £1,038 a week. This was followed by ‘corporate managers’ (£688) and, in third place, ‘science and technology professionals’ (£662).
While the last EW salary survey in 2005 showed an average wage of £36,540, two years down the line this has increased by £3,000 to £39,540.
Could it actually be that the skills shortage is having a positive effect on engineer’s wages? After all, the more rare something is, the more desirable it becomes and its price increases.
The good news is more people in engineering are earning more money than two years ago. The shift seems to occur around the £30,000 mark.
Two years ago 61 per cent of respondents earned £30,000 or more. In this year’s survey 73 per cent earn £30,000 or more.
Those earning less than £20,000 has fallen from nine per cent to seven per cent. Meanwhile the percentage of respondents that earned more than £60,000 rose from seven per cent to nine per cent so it seems the balance is shifting.

Average Salary
While the last EW salary survey in 2005 showed an average wage of £36,540, two years down the line this has increased by £3,000 to £39,540.
Could it actually be that the skills shortage is having a positive effect on engineer’s wages? After all, the more rare something is, the more desirable it becomes and its price increases.

Management roles take the top three places when salary is related to job function, coming in well above the £39,540 average salary. Sales/marketing also sneaks in above average wage, while design/development, R&D and test engineers come next but, crucially, all fall below the average wage.
Service/maintenance, production engineers and purchasing prop up the bottom of the table.
Question: what things should an industrial electronics engineer know ? And, at what courses & topics he should have grip? what things should an industrial electronics engineer know ? And, at what courses & topics he should have grip & command ?

Question: whats the difference between a Eletrical and electronics engineer? who gets paid more? hows the job field looking?
Answer: Although the terms electrical and electronics engineering often are used interchangeably in academia and industry, electrical engineers have traditionally focused on the generation and supply of power, whereas electronics engineers have worked on applications of electricity to control systems or signal processing.
Electrical engineers specialize in areas such as power systems engineering or electrical equipment manufacturing.
Electronics engineers specialize in areas such as communications, signal processing, and control systems or have a specialty within one of these areas—control systems or aviation electronics, for example.
So in a nutshell Simple matters of power are Electrical, and devices (generally digital) like robots and computers are Electronics.

Question: Electronics Engineer? How can I catch signals on my Dish Antenna? A mobile phone company in Saudi Arabia has installed their Network Antennas/Boosters on different buildings in Riyadh city. This has disturbed signals of some T.V. channels. When I try to adjust my Dish Antenna, signals start appearing and disappearing. I can not get signals more than 2% to3% and these do not stay constant. Is there any solution to this problem?
Answer: You could complain, but other than that, the dish satelite has to be pointed at a certain degree setting or it won't work. Maybe directv uses a different satellite with a setting that won't interfere.
Dish should know about the problem also, maybe they can install a more powerful lnb.

Question: As an Electronics engineer, do you think it is important to get familiar with some of the SPICE programs? Do you think its important to get familiar with some of the SPICE programs that r available...such as Multisim, Micro-Cap, and LT SPICE?....I have used all three. Do you think its important to list them on my resume?
Answer: Yes it is useful if the job involves design. The more you understand the better. Yes if you put them in your job application that can help, if it is appropriate to the job. A potential employer wants to assess you, so this is really in the selection criteria part of a job application (why your skills relate to this job and the employer's needs). Then you could expect it to come up in interview (if you are so lucky). They would draw you out, ask just exactly how much do you know, give examples etc. So make sure it is real knowledge you have.. I would simulate things all the time, filters, power supplies, amplifiers, analogue circuits etc. Just small blocks or modules, not complete systems. Build up a library of your own templates.
Question: I'm an electronics and communications engineer. i want to do civil engineering? I'm an electronics and communications engineer. i want to do civil engineering. can any one help me how can i do it. where can i apply.
Answer: You are more than half way there. Most of your courses can be used for a civil engineering degree. In fact if you get a PE, in most states, the PE can be used in any field. However, you should take courses to know the material.
Go to your local Civil engineering school with your transcript. Have them review it, and tell you which courses can be applied to the Civil engineering degree. With luck, you may only require a hand full of courses.
Cheers and good luck!

Question: Are these conditions fit for becoming electronics engineer? I can solve hard Maths problems
I am interested in solving problems of high standard, and sometimes I am successful
I am interested in Physics, not in Chemistry
My progress reports in school show I am intelligent
Answer: You possess the right conditions.
Well, you need perseverance too. It is not that difficult. Others who can't, say 'Hey! look how many hours he's putting and how hard he works!'. It is difficult for them but you don't feel that way as you love it and don't notice the passing hours without food or rest.
At 16 (in 1962) when I was to make a choice, I wanted to be be a 'radio' engineer as I stripped a radio ('Valve' set; and the 'transistors' just arrived on the scene) that I couldn't put back. My father wanted that I should join IAS as I have a flair for Geography (right now I top the Geography section of Y!A for best answers) and GK. He said that I will be bossing over others telling them to do this or that instead of a 'worker' that an engineer is. Engineer basically solves a physical problem. Of course after becoming an engineer you can swith to be a 'manager', 'civil servant' or 'politician' basically remaining an engineer. What you learn during 15 to 25 years stick to the bones!
Even I toyed with the idea of becoming a 'scientist' through MSc route. That was (& is) not in vogue. Later on I found the difference too. Science is about knowledge, engineering is about blueprints, ideas, methods and exploiting the knowledge one has got, to make a contraption for people's use 'at a cost that is affordable'. Even a scientist who does this is performing an 'engineering' task. In my profession whenever I got stuck in mathematics ('number theory' particularly), whenever I sought help from my seniors who are mathematicians, they used to recite their course material to me with the words 'you solve it' without actually solving my problem. So I learnt that bit of mathematics, applied to my problem and cracked it. Well, it took lot of patience and at the end, I used to say 'Hey! I could have cracked it on day 1' but I learnt a lot in the bargain.
Like every engineer in making; you too look to future - what it would be (not the newspaper stuff, possessing which, you can floor the others and pass off as one). As electronics engineer, you need to know structure of matter, particularly the 'Solid state' as most of the electronics stuff is made of it. We were trained very well in vacuum tube technology, then. Whatever it is you need to extract and control electrons and their flow in matter. Need lot of mathematics to understand their behaviour ('charecterise') them. 'Electromagnetics' with good grounding in 'Vector analysis' (you'd be using 'gradient'- del, 'divergence' - deldot & 'curl' - delcross like A,B,Cs). The tools you require is 'Fourier analysis' & 'Fourier transform'. From electronics you transgress into 'Electronic Communications' generally, as electronics primarily serves communications. In the latter too the blessed 'Fourier' doesn't leave you, as we in that field think in 'frequency' domain with 'Sine' & 'Cosine' waves as companions. 'Statistics' is equally essential as in 'Abstract' domain, where you can't see or hold or control electrons or progressing sine waves, you need replenishing any missing things like a missing '0' or '1' in a stream of data in a computer or between them; but 'statistics' and 'estimates' is approached differently. Quantum mechanics, that I learnt 'en passant' (but was not taught) but love to have learnt, is another in view of increased use of 'Quanta', 'photons' in 'Optonics' & 'Optical communications'. As I was better than other mechanical, civil or electrical engineers in mathematical abilities, I could contribute in areas needing higher mathematics, like structural 'stress' analysis and 'pressure' waves. Generally, an engineer is taught some mathematical tools to tackle a problem. In a new situation needing innovation, he runs out of tools and need to hammer out newer tools like 'George Boole' ('Binary logic' upon which whole of data structures rests), 'Oliver Heaviside' (applying Laplace transform), 'Lutfollah Zadeh' (Fuzzy logic & sets) did. Mathematicians follow behind, to claim it as their subject later. You know why Nobel didn't put a prize for mathematics? I heard a story that his mathematician friend ran away with his girl-friend.
Lastly you must have ability to grasp essentials of Physics (Engineering is but 'Applied Physics'), Chemistry or even Biology. With a sound knowledge of mathematical principles in engineering, you can make far reaching contributions in 'Genetics' and 'Genetic Engineering' (Fourier transform & 'Coding' based on number theory come handy). Don't be scared of all these, you are already using them in some form, if you look around. But don't loose grip over rudiments : displacement x, velocity dx/dt, force f='m d^2x/dt^2', work or energy w='f x' and power 'dw/dt'. Units and dimension analysis will save if you ever find yourself drowning.
I may claim that I am an engineer by training and scientist by choice. In my profession after retiring as scientist, I get to interview aspiring electronic engineers to join. Whenever they quote superficial (journalese) stuff I probe their 'funda' to see how good they are at applying the principles.
Question: Can a electrical and electronics engineer find any scope in Robotics?
Answer: There is immense scope for electrical and electronics engineer in the field of robotics. It is an amalgamation of mechanical, computers, electrical and electronics.
Ever wondered how can a robot work without those hidden wires and motors(different pupose robots require different motors). There is a hgue scope for actuator design...in reluctance motor.......choosing the best motor or linear actuator for a specific purpose. Then comes the controls.........a robot can work on PID control.........only when an electronics/electrical engineer performs its job. Current harnessing for a particular load intensive job and how to do it in best possible manner........again electrical and electronics engineer.
So it is an immense field....buddy go and do some surfing there is large amount of information on internet. Also search something on unversities websites. Generally they upload huge chunk of information on Robotics.

1. Completed minimum 1year with the previous employer
2. NOC from the previous employer
3. No pending loans, credit card payments
4. No legal cases againist you
If all these are correct, then you won't get any ban from MOL & Immigration.
Good Luck..
Question: Can you tell me the best option for a electronics engineer graduate in India?
Answer: Now the best option left for the electronics graduate is to some how pull on till the global economy improves.
Question: Should I be an aircraft engineer or an electronics engineer? I have been offered two choices that is aircraft engineering and electronics engineering for my college education I dont know what to choose because they both sound good.
I have been offered two choices that is aircraft engineering and elctonic engineering. I dont know what to choose because they both sound good. However the courses are in different institutions. The aircraft engineering course cannot be changed but the electronic engineering course can be changed to a different major.
Answer: I was in your shoes a mere 2 years ago. Both majors are equally challenging and extremely fun and exciting. It all comes down to what you like. If you enjoy physical things that you can feel and see and moving parts, aerospace is better for you. If you like energy and conceptual physics (and lots of integration) EE is more for you. Of coarse this is my personal experience and we are different people, but I chose Electrical and I love it.
The only difference, really, is one has friction and the other has resistance.
Question: job opportunity in UK for electronics and communication engineer? I am final semester student of electronics and communication engineering from India...
